    Mine has been brilliant since i got it, only broke down once and that was an easy fix. It did ruin our summer trip to France though.
    How far have you driven it so far?

  7. hello from macclesfield. also a newbie but an vw addict for bays mark 1 golfs for 30 years.
    tips always carry spare cables. had two accelerator cables break in last two years.

  14. Distributor and leads so presumably spark plugs and yes it's a USA import.

    Very good, instant observations, twin carbs with pancake filters so doesn't look like your tank breathers are connected to anything(yellow pipe across top of engine bay)
    Snail fan won't aid heating much with no tube on the right :)
