    Rusty sills.
Make sure the hood is in good nick, and there are no signs of wet inside the car.

  7. Does the 2003 model come with built-in gaydar, or was that an option?

If they're comfortable with their sexuality then go for it....I used to have a Suzuki Samurai soft top and got loads of stick..playing Pet Shop Boys and Erasure very loud didn't help.

P.s. would love one, one of the few vehicles that looks good in beige.

ooh catty! Watch it Mr Snotty or I may get my brothers and sisters to protest outside your house!!

From having met Mick a few times I would say pretty much 100% that he will do what he wants and not care what other folk think :)

Sills. Air con always leak if fitted. Drive train can be noisy if not well maintained. Wiring issues on light harness on some and electric windows are pants. Other than that good cars.

    Oh, the 2.0 is juicy.

  12. thanks setting off now

If it’s a dud I can just stick it in the field with the rest ;)

  16. I bet it's not in France or LHD though, or maybe it is and I should keep my beak out.

Pretty sure there’s a Dehler on Car and Classic at the mo.

  18. Hoods, electric window regs. If it’s early it has the flaps to cover the hood mech and they can be an issue. The hood to glass is meant to be a problem. The sills generally get bashed by bad drivers. 2.0 uses oil. Maf, lambda probes, usually the only engine woes.
But loved my 1999 one. Almost go as far as to say it’s the best car I’ve had. Did about 130k miles in it with only a couple of sensors that needed doing.
Water cooled golf gang don’t like you and air cooled don’t either, so don’t expect scene points!
