Thought it was from the first picture, but it's definitely another Tatra, a 603 this time. Very rare in the UK
i seem to think I passed by this very spot on a boat quite a few years ago and the owner was in the yard so I shouted ( in a fish wife manner) what were some of them and they were Eastern European so that could be spot on. It was a UK reg but I couldn’t remember it to MOT check . If you’re ever in Marston Doles, head for Lock 16 and try and look yourself, tho may need binoculars
Ps there was also a solitary adult swan there with a bad leg so take some food as I tried for 2 hours to report it and get someone out to no avail
Please elaborate, John, I must admit I thought it was a kit at first, but, hmm, it was very well executed, yet it was a weird mix of old and new; that threw me off the scent
It could well be a kit replica of a 1935-37 Auburn Speedster. The wheels look too modern. If you could look under the bonnet the original had a supercharged side valve straight 8. Replicas tend to have a small block Chevrolet or similar.
E L Cord owned both Cord and Auburn and the Cord 810 and the Auburn 851 were designed by the same chap.
I was hoping you had a pic of that after you teased with a corner of it in your hoots mon car show thread. Looks like a car Cruella Deville would drive.
Not actually the original chassis for this body, but there is a tenuous VW link, and a very tenuous link for @Merlin Cat1's taste. I've seen this car in the metal a couple of times and it has amazing presence.
