  3. And finally, she moves under her own steam for the first time since last November :D

Took her round the block and dropping her off at the garage for an mot later. I know you guys are mostly T2's but driving her immediately put that smile back on my face which only a VW can do

  4. Has it passed then?

  5. Test is tomorrow. Dropped her off early so they've got her first thing....and also to explain all the little VW quirks :D

  6. Good luck buddy

  7. Top news.... Fingers crossed....

  8. Well?

  9. Not great....but not too bad. Need both rear jacking points welding on the sills. Rear wheel bearing, so will do both. One side rear cv joint boots, a few split pins missing on front steering joints, upper ball joint dust caps, battery's loose and scratches on windscreen.

Like I said, nothing major just lots of little jobs

  12. Just a quick update. Since passing the MOT on the retest....I've now clocked up just over 2000 miles and the engine is running great :D

Still need to upgrade my carbs but not in too much of a rush

  13. Just to drag you back to the days of rebuilding... Which sealant under the washers nuts heads etc on case bolts.. Looks like permatex aviation stuff on case but the white stuff in the Raby DVD isn't available on these shores.. And what goes under cylinder head stud washers inside the rocker? ....Please... Santa has been with a new camshaft so I'm rarin to go one I've cleaned everything for the 20th time....!

Cylinder head studs, the ones that are through drilled, Permatex case sealant and the white stuff, as you say Permatex white stuff. I got mine from the states off eBay, cost around £25 all in, really wasn't expensive at all!
