My Old Yella Bus Project

  2. Hello all, its been a while since i updated so here goes,chasis leg in engine bay and surrounding panels are now complete but still more bits in engine bay to do (to be honest got fed up of not seeing progress so started on a few other bits)

    i have been busy getting the new inner and centre sills in, which if you buy aftermarket are abit of a biatch to fit

    and inner rear wheel arch inside under rear seat

    then have rear arch placed in and lined up with sliding door

    and finnally i have replaced the panel under the rear side window and made repair sections for the uprights

    Looking good, I know the feeling of not seeing much progress, and therefore abandoning it for weeks at a time,

    Looks and sounds like you brought the same sill panels I did, (Just Kampers sliding door sill?) A biatch to fit whatever way you approach it!

    Everyone sells rubbish sills, not just JK. Sadly it seems they copy each other rather than atempting to make one that would fit. ::)

    took the chance to give it a bit of clear out and get some decent pics of the progress. cant wait to get some filler on the go and then the best bit....PAINT :lol: :D

  16. Thanks for comments, I'm goin for blue/off white colour scheme.
    Bus was originally blue and white before the brush painted yellow.

    do you have any pics of your inner rear arch repairs before you put the out on
    I need to repair mine where it joins the rear of the sill but have nowt to copy as it was just rust

  20. I think that would be the best way, i dont really want to folk out on a inner wheel arch just to use a bit of it
