    Yes.

  2. Set the timing first, then the idle. It is adjusted on the throttle body on a big flat head screw about the size of a penny. DO NOT MESS WITH THE MIXTURE SCREW ON THE AFM.

If you still have issues it could be your TS 2 sensor. Or it could be leaky injectors of cold start valve.

  3. Go to the samba.com and download the fuel injection trouble shooting manual and print it off. Make sure you have a multimeter as this is pretty much all you need to test most things on the FI

  4. My van failed its last mot on emissions. Quick turn of the mixture screw by them had it sorted.

  5. Mixture screw on the AFM?

  6. that's the fella.

  7. Its not good to mess with it tbh

  8. I didn't do it. Probes used to measure and adjusted as it should be. The first mechanic I used ages ago turned it thinking it was the tick over screw and it was left from then. Pretty sure it's spot on now. Felt great driving back from the mot station.

  9. Fair enough

Big thanks to sharpey today for popping over and giving me a hand.

Horn is now sorted, turned out to be a dry contact on the horn push, fitted a new rear light cluster, new headlamps and wired the side lights. Also sorted the over fueling, the cylinder head temperature censor thread had stripped and it was loose. It's a bitch to get to so I shorted the connection to earth and adjusted the tickover and it's perfect. Not sure how easy it'll be to start tomorrow though.

The tickover screw looked a bit worn so obviously been adjusted a few times before.

Just need to see if it drives now. MOT booked for Tuesday.

  14. You could have an air leak /VAC leak hidden by the PO messing with the idle speed

More than likely to be honest, the van is unbelievably dry, all of the hoses and pipes are dried and brittle, I'll be replacing them together with fuel lines etc in the next coupe of weeks.

Very nice solid bus. Mine looked the same when I got it. Enjoy the ride. New fuel lines and wax oil would be top of my list of jobs. Contact paste on all FI plugs and injector cleaner in the tank made a big difference for me.

ey look like they've been replaced in the last couple of years but I'll be doing them again anyway.

  20. check them but I would only replace of they need to be, if they have been done recently
