My Engine rebuild

  1. Did you manage to find somewhere local selling enamel matty?
     
  2. Noooooooo, not you too Matty. You must have caught Paradoxitis off me when you did my electrics.

    Stand on one leg and repeat ' I must not paint everything in tractor enamel' ten times and you should be ok ;)

    Mole valley farmers have some but not in satin so they are getting me some

    I was going to offer to buy some up here and post it to you if you were struggling to find it
    The great thing with satin is you will probably only need two coats after primer with flatting back of the first coat
    Just remember when it appears dry it will still be slightly soft underneath so give it a day longer before heavy handling

    It's all right
    I admire paras ability and skill but I don't have the patience or the skill he has
    the tin is in such state it needs something on it and some nice thick paint should help protect it

    Just had a call the case is US apparently they tried to line bore it but have gone to 2mm and its still not true
    Its a bit odd at the crank was fine They think the bearing shells are so thick that they have just hammered the case.

    Painting tinware just got to let it dry properly before flatting and 2nd coat
    Good old tractor enamel
