I'm gonna have to have a think what I'm doing. I'm planning on have gas in the back at some point for a cooker so it's all gonna have to be changed. I'll have a lookee at the bayonet jobbies and see if they would suit my plans. Cheers Barnster.
Not updated this one for a while. I've had a pair of Porsche seats sat in my shed for a couple of years that I bought of fleabay for£32. The plan was to get the retrimmed but money is tight so I fitted them in a few months back. Had the rear arch in primer for ages so I chucked some rattle can on it, to tidy it up and protect it. Not the greatest effort as it will need a bit more filler at some stage. The paint plan is now to stay red, I'm gonna go up to the roof line. That's why I've painted the slider cover red.
Been working on my sink unit jobby in the van. I'm liking my drift wood style kick board under the bed so I made the unit to match. My chippy skills are very basic to say the least.
That has a really nice charm about it. And will burn really well when the propex conks out again. BRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrr.
Thanks Jayk, the beauty of this style means it hides my shoddy woodworking skills, not a dove tail in sight lol.
It looks fantastic though! I really like it, its made me think twice about leaving mine empty.. And definitely approve of the taking the red up to the roof line, just doing it on the track cover has made a massive difference, its going to look much better I think
Cheers mate, that's the plan. I've got a slider to put in middle window but I'm dragging my heels cos I'm worried what I'll discover under the window rubbers. Plus I need good weather to be able to treat, prep, paint frame and fit window, all during my days off cos I use it as a daily. Oh for a dry place to work on it and a spare vehicle.
Some much needed work on my middle window. After grinding out the rust, I treated it with kurust and a coat of bonda. Then got the rattle can out. Bought a slider off a TLB member about a year ago, so put that in. The bottom seal was a pig to get in, but with help from the mrs, got in in.
Bloody hell that looks excellent Chris, bring some masking tape in August, I have a few jobs for you.
