My 78 (Unknown conversion)bay

Love the bumper!


Its not a particular conversion. I would say it was once a panel van and someone has grafted a westy style roof in at some point.

 

The thing is ned ive seen about 12 other busses with the same roof and canvas and the same pattern of fabric on the upper bed

 

possibly a Holdsworth conversion?

 

Do you have a pic of the interior?

 

What does the roof look like when it's up? it looks a bit like a Riviera roof in the pics

 

It came with a tatterd westy interior which i chucked in the skip :-[

as i said i your other thread ... steady restoration and im sure you'll have this bang tidy one day para .

as for conversion i have no clue

Its had standard front seats in it upholsterd in the same cloth but i binned them in favour of more modern seats

 

Im stumped ???


My dad always wears a coat made of that same style of cloth though

I bought it late sept 2006 a week before vanfest

It didnt look to bad when i bought it but the supposed rebuilt engine spat the bottom end out on the way back from van vest

Heres a pic of it about 5 maybe 6 months after i bought it
It looked ok back then but its true they need to look worse before they look better
