Motorway slip roads and middle lanes .

I try to be courteous on the motorway, but having driven the camper on and off the motorway for the past few months, especially when it wouldn't pick up properly, I really appreciate life in the slow lane!!

One bug bear is people who intentionally drive well below 70 cos they do not have the confidence. One of two things the yanks do right is the minimum speed limit (the other being right on red) which I think we should do!

 

I build up speed on the slip road very quickly & get out as soon as I can, making sure I don't make anyone change speed or direction.
I then keep to the left as much as I can as soon as I've overtaken someone I pull in, when I'm ready to pull out I indicate & then pull out as long as its clear.
I usually do between 80 & 90 MPH all the time on the motorway. When I catch someone up I leave a really big gap between us & once they are in I put my foot down.
I don't bother flashing people who pull out in front of me I just give them the bird when passing.
I don't understand people who pile up my arse when I'm overtaking it just makes me slow down & stay in the outside lane longer.
My favorite trick is to pull in on people who undertake making them brake pull in behind me & then overtake.
As far as lorry drivers are concerned I usually leave them out because I know that they are going to get back in straight away as soon as they have over taken.
I do get a bit annoyed when they overtake on the start of a hill, stay out for ages then realise they are not going to be able to do it & pull in behind. A good driver will know when is rig will do it or not.
Most of the time in my van I just drive around trying to keep calm & carry on.
I do use a dash cam from time to time but it don't last for long.

Don't get enough traffic hee to worry about over users but when I go the over populated areas I do the decent thing and move out the way when possible

I thought the middle lane and slipway was somewhere to park my boat.
