I have the same manifolds as you MorkC68 i have solex carbs on , aftermarket ones probably .They have blanking plugs in at present , i wonderd what they were for , all makes sense now Zed saying they were for fuel injection .
Bit of a bugger really was hoping i could tap in for servo attachment on one of them as i don't have servo , seems the one you need is the single port on the upper necks of the manifold . Can you buy them individually or are they sold only in kit form i wonder ?

I like the bracket you made up for the HX support attached to the exhaust flange ...must make one myself not many have those fitted , i wonder if they are an available part .Finally i like your engine stand what make is it, i will have to look it up cheers .

I'll have a read of the instructions for the kit, see what they say, out of curiosity!

I'm not sure if they are sold individually or not, it'll be online somewhere!

I wouldn't have known about the hx support 'cept I saw one over on the samba last weekend.

The engine stand is Clarke, downside the four mounts don't line up properly, we had to make a mounting plate which will also work on gearboxes!

Well the build is almost complete and ready to install, just a few pieces of tinware to fit and we're done.

In the meantime, the alternator is in situ

    Cheers mate :)

3901Mick came to the rescue with a good loom, so that saved a job!

  16. What've you painted the HXs with? If it's exhaust high temp paint, then I'd use something else, as it'll not last long and they go rusty dead quick!!

@Owen Snell , what're your HXs looking like since I painted them in engine enamel?
