  1. Yeah i thought there might be a bit of reshaping but thats all part of it and really not a biggy tho
What did you do with the back of the over engine unit? Did you just have ur curtains closed or did you make a panel against the window??

I hope with that MDF you used the weatherproof exerior grade variety (as used in super yachts where nobody can see it) or it will go the way of the high tech weetabix in Formica beloved of Devon.
Condensation in corners can lead to the lower edges being damp, and damp means expansion of indoor grade MDF.
Go for a paint finish you can touch up easily when it gets bashed and chipped.

A wrap would look horrible if you hooked it and tore it.

For worktops you need something tougher than paint ideally. Stuff like Coriolan..

I think he meant Corian. Made by Dupont. It's clever stuff and can be joined invisibly and repaired too. McD's use it in all their outlets.

Hi @Andyr7 , left it open but the curtains cover the opening anyway and as I have 73 with the petrol tank flap it would have been difficult to shape a backing. @mikedjames the units are moisture resistant mdf and I painted mine, come out ok.

Sorry, Shakespeare got in my brain too. I meant that expensive but fairly lightweight material.

  8. I wouldn't use MDF to heavy but easy for DIY types to do what they want, i understand that plus you can always put paving flags in the door cards on the other side to balance to bus ;)

@Andyr7 put some photos up of the cabinets, iv put a ply strip on the inside to stop the doors closing inside the cabinet.
