more details.............................. For Sale is our 1977 T2 Bay window LHD Katastrophenshutz (Disaster Control van) called 'Tango'! First registered in Germany in 1980 hence the V reg plate. 112 were converted by Brunn, Bonn for the German Disaster Reaction Force (Katastrophenschutz) between 1977 and 1980. Manufactured by VW in 1977 and then shipped to Brunn, Bonn, they were converted and stored until all 112 were completed. They were originally full of radio equipment but this one has been converted to a 'camper'. Owned for 4 years,been to Scotland, Lake District, Cornwall, Devon, Norfolk, Kent, Northumberland, Peak District, France and most of the VW shows with only one hitch which was solved with a new battery. Featured in VW Camper & Commercial magazine Jan/Feb 2010 Reason for selling is that I have upgraded (or have I downgraded?) to a T25 because we really wanted a RHD camper with a pop-top to sleep in. • Old Blauplunkt Wolfsburg 4 radio in Cab • Rev counter fitted but doesn’t work properly (I do have original blanking plate) • Re-upholstered Cab seats • Blue Light works.
