  2. Awh!

You did the right thing though. If the owners are looking for him the first place they'll go is the pound. Just be sure to rescue him if they don't show - he looks a cracker!

  3.
  4. If it comes to it, you can take him in and then re-home him,

how would your boys take to sharing their patch (and mummy) with a newbie?

  5. Diggy is fine, but Womble is a bit possessive (I'm sure you wouldn't have noticed ::) )

Although they all played nicely last night, and Womble is used to having other dogs in the house. He just likes to be in charge, and Barney (as now christened, having turned up at our Barn door) is a submissive little chap.

Pingu has offered help for temporary homing which is brilliant as it gives us lots of options. Am going to call in the morning and see what's what.

  6. Do let us know what's happening to poor Barney. I get really upset about stray dogs - wasn't allowed to watch The Littlest Hobo or Lassie when I was little (or even now)...

  7. He's a Christmas dog! You know who else arrived at a barn?

You've more options on the name choice, Santa's Little Helper (from the Simpson's) or Jesus ;D

  9. Just had a call from a family who had seen our poster. Sent a picture of the little fella and they confirmed it was their dog, Benji, who escaped from their garden. Their little girl is missing him very much and hopefully they will be reunited tomorrow. Yay!

(although a friend of mine told me the statistics for people who do not pick up their dogs after finding out the charges they have to pay, so call me pessimistic but I'll still be ringing to check on him!)

  10. Yay hopefully he will be reunited with his family

  11. at least Jesus will be home for Christmas :)
