They did bury a few rare minis in the tunnels under Longbridge....I know the machine tools along the entry road to the Motor Heritage Museum at Gaydon were apparently buried by British Leyland somewhere.
Can you imagine the conversation: "Right, I've had enough - petrol has gone past £1 a gallon so that's the end of it. I'm burying the car in the garden"
Apparently, just outside of our town , is a field with 3 Rolls Royces buried in, but no one knows for sure, where, as the guy that buried them, died.Storey goes, that he was given them to him after ww2, but no one wanted them, or could afford to run them, so he buried them in a big hole.
