life in the bus lane

i was driving back into town today after picking my daughter up from the childminder . the road was pretty busy because its was rush hour so i decided to drive in the bus lane . its always empty , i dont think iv ever seen a bus in it infact !
my logic was that if i was pulled over i would just say 'its a bus innit officer' .

am i right ? we are entitled to drive in the bus lane arnt we !

I hope for your sake they don't have bus lane cameras because if they do that just cost you around
