Having just re-read The Saga Of Lenny, I'm feeling a warm and fuzzy glow that you decided to keep him... during the chapter when you took the deposit but kept on working I think I must have got something in my eye because the computer screen went a little blurry for a while.... and I'm not sure where all these snotty tissues came from. It's a real page turner, and I'm not sure I can wait for the winter to find out what happens in the end. There better be a nice photo of Lenny by a sunny beach, with a picnic and a glass of cold beer, or else I'm sending this book back and giving it a 1 star review on Amazon! Seriously though, it sounds like you have been through too much to let go, and your work looks ace. You should at least get to enjoy your labours!
Life has taken a drastic change in direction, Lenny is on eBay yet again . I've reached an age and time in my life where I have outgrown the dream. I've done my bit and he is a totally viable project now that will again see the road, I'm sure by the summer in the right hands.
Ok, long story, short version....... I was contacted by someone who said that he was interested in Lenny, but was buying on behalf of a “Client”. I will keep his name and company hidden. He viewed the Lenny and we agreed a price subject to the client accepting. The client accepted the following day and there details were provided to me. The client was “Wheelers Dealers”. After arranging timings for collection, I was asked if I wanted to be filmed bartering with Mike Brewer . I agreed, and a date was set for the filming. I then received a call the weekend before to be told that the deal cannot go thru as Lenny was written off (Cat C) 10 years before I purchased him and they could not be seen to be putting an insurance write off back on the road. The original guy then purchase Lenny and will restore him and told me he would most likely export after that.
