After some hub caps but struggling to find a decent set. Any thoughts or opinions on what works well and lasts?
They come up occasionally on ebay. Problem is they do fetch a high price for a decent set. I tend to leave ours off when not using the van as the low life tend to take a fancy to them.
There's somewhere in Turkey that sells very reasonably priced stainless steel ones with VW logo that often gets a mention. There was a link in a recent thread if you search.
Also available from Aliexpress- no idea on quality or lengevity of the chrome however, may well be made of low-grade chinesium
These came with my van when I bought it in '19, US '79 bus, surplus to requirements as the steels won't go back on in my ownership. I polished them up for a mate who ended up staying with his white powder-coated ones. They're wasted sat in my garage, I'm in Southampton, collect for a case of beer? Best going to a good owner rather than trying to fetch an extra 10er
