  1. Point 3 turns out to be the steering pin. :)

  2. Are you after a 2 or 3 seat middle row?

  3. Either will do :)

  4. She is looking great Chris:)

  7. Cheers pal, yes I'm putting new ones on. :)

  8. Not really done a lot with the bus for a while but I'm sick of it filling my garage so today, I did a bit.
Took the side step off Milly, I put the new one I bought on Milly and the one off Milly on Jackie Brown:-

    Plonked the middle seat in:-

  9. Removed the old drive shafts:-

3 CV joints are good but I think I'll need to replace one of them. All 4 gaiters will need replacing. I'll obviously clean off all the grease reside from the hubs and gearbox flanges before I fit the new ones.

  10. The underside of the bus is unbelievable, its solid as a rock and still in the original paint, its never been undersealed.
The underside could do with undersealing to preserve it from the UK salty roads, the only trouble is then it looks like your hiding something.
The heater control cables work bu there is one bellows missing, the rest of the heating system is sound, even the Y-splitter pipes.

The fuel pipes look OK but I am going to change them all as a precaution, together with the fuel filter:-

  11. I have a bit of a strange set up with the heater pipes, there are these strange grey pipes pointing backwards that are bolted the engine support bar ends:-

I have a blanking plug here where I think the lambda sensor should be:-

The EGR valve pipe underneath is missing:-

  12. The strange tubes you speak of are heater dump pipes.

There are some pics in my thread

  13. Cheers, I'll take a look.
    :)

  14. Instead of the heat just being dumped underneath the bus from the heat control valves, it is exhausted to the rear of the vehicle

    @Chrisradioman

in the pic quite a way up, you mentioned the lamda sensor hole has a plugged cap on it, our westy (77 FI) has the same plug. I wonder if the sensor isn't fitted on them (has Ricks got it fitted)?

  17. Depends if it is a Cali model or not, I think cali 79 models had lamda sensors

  18. And the pipe for the egr is actually where the her filter would have gone and then through the tin and into the inlet plenum

  19. Cheers, the van runs nicely enogh so it may not have had one as you said. :)

  20. Cheers it's a 1978 so probably didn't have it then.
Is it worth refitting the EGR or not?
