  3. Been looking at exactly the same since selling mine last week. Overcab bed and a toilet/shower are a must now. Trouble is she's not keen on new shapes, not that she was keen on the bay either.

  6. Theres another at the bottom of that listing for £8.5k just up the road in Tring, outside looks tatty though. I haven't got the nerve to bring another project home on the drive.

  8. Not this one! We’ve had a couple and I’ve really liked them but this one has had a problem since purchase day and is making me rage!!

T4/5's just seem so expensive for what they are though. I've been after a van recently and looked at VW but decided against due to cost, there were loads around the £7/8K mark but they were all 200k miles, 2002 - 2004 and very basic vehicles. I ended up with a Vivaro, 64 plate, FSH, 130K miles, air con, electric windows, bluetooth etc, virtually unmarked inside and out for £5400. I've had side and rear windows fitted for £600 and it's great. It drives like a car and gives me mid 40's to the gallon. If I could just persuade my daughter to let me get rid of the Bay..................

I’m keeping my bay for now and find it very practical. Had it 16 years and done the kids, awning, loads of carp thing. Just me and the Mrs now so literally pull up, handbrake on and drinks out. Love it.

^^^^^hower I do wonder about the future when I can’t be bothered to tinker on . I’ve started a new job last year working on all kinds of different vans. It seems to me that Mercedes’ and vw are over rated. The Peugeot boxer or Renault master appear to be very good.

I was pleased to hear that having to go for nothing newer than a 2009 Merc,
(Viano, Taxi version of the Vito) because of the strict budget, worked in our favour ... Earlier ones were rust prone, later ones not so well built any more.
Seems there's a sweet spot for all marques?
