I replaced mine 25 years ago after considering having it welded with an adjustable beam from the now defunct Bus Boys. I farmed out the whole thing as I had no skills, tools or space at the time. I had to have some of it redone because the torsion bars were set up incorrectly. I think it’s one of those jobs where it’s best to get it all done and have all the stuff that’s wrong sorted out. On my old beam the box with the steering pin was separating and broke free while my mother was driving it. I don’t know how she got it home.
Hi I have a similar item in my wood shed in Somerset near Yeovil if you fancy trying welding repairs. That was my plan until a South African beam became available locally. The beam, without arms, torsion springs or a servo bracket, is free to any one prepared to collect. Tubes, needle bearings and steering pivot seem good.
