I live in Newark and can't go ..Sods law Can't comment on what it's like though as I've never been..sorry
popped to the uttoxeter one a couple of times for an hour or two, it was ok but nowt special then again i'm not a show fan.
This show was the the big one for TLB back when it was at Wymeswold a few years back, The Battle of the bays was also there and we used to get a good turn out. It then got flooded and cancelled on the morning of the show (Swamperjam year) and it was moved to Utoxeter where it never took off, they are now trying their luck at Newark
i am off to it this weekend , 1st time the van has done more than 19 miles one way , sailed through its mot yesterday , so i am gonna risk the journey of around 63 miles to this event their facebook page says booking up over 50 percent based on last year (but doesnt say what last years figures were), pictures of previous shows seem to indicte its very much a family orientated show with activities for the little ones and likewise a beer tent and act for the bigger ones . as a tight yorkshireman i bought tickets online for a damn good discount , their pricing isnt too bad anyway , i am happy with what i paid and i havnt got there yet , for me the fun will be simply getting there without a breakdown
We went the once, 2013 I believe as it was 2012 that had been cancelled. Had a great time as we were there with friends, loads of stuff for the kids to do but the peeps buzzing round on mini bikes & stuff was a bit mad especially when the kids were running free & playing! I always worry about getting to our destination but once there I don't really worry about the return journey as we've usually had our fun! BSO 2013 coming home we didn't even make it out of Uttoxeter's grounds! Had a nice picnic waiting for the AA tho!
We're going. Only 60 miles from us, tickets were reasonable price (we bought them at Stanford Hall) and band line up looks good.
Iam going along with a new TLB member , i will look out for you guys i have got Faust sticker on my back window .
