Tge next generation iPhone has had many rumours regarding what it will look like, some ludicrous and some plausible but according to macrumours the following seems to be popping up time and time again: http://www.macrumors.com/2011/08/10/this-could-be-what-apples-iphone-5-looks-like/ IMO I think this is probably more like what we should be expecting as there are hints of swipe gestures on the os, which I've had a little play with, which would coincide with the widened home button. Your opinions?
Looks good and if the rumours are true the ability to switch between open applications will be really good. I am hoping for a semi free upgrade as my contract expires next week.
I am looking forward to OS5 ... I have just upgraded to lion on my family of macs and am eager to see how iCloud works ... btw - I dont have an iPhone and maybe never will ... I like my BB too much

my contract ran out in may and i have not renewed it on purpose so i am free to leave / get a new phone / etc when i want ... its nice to be free

well ... i had no warning that when i upgraded Logic 8 would stop working - so I had to pay an extra £80 to upgrade that. I like it - I have not bothered to use Launch Center at all - mission control is quite nice - new mail is good and the swipe gestures are slick. for the £20.99 it costs its worth doing - but check all compatibility before doing it.
There is some pretty firm rumours going about that it will just be a rehashed iPhone 4, as the 3GS was to the "3".
Surprised they have not done the usual thing of just releasing the same thing in different colours!! Easy engineering!
You know the only reason for the delay was because of the tragic devastation in Japan. Every other phone is a new model: IPhone 3 was new iPhone 3GS was rehashed with upgraded internals iPhone 4 was new iPhone 5 we know has upgraded internals The iPhone 4 should if had the bigger screen but couldn't get them produced in time, hence the reckoning the 5 will have it.
I like my White iPhone4. I don't think I'd want a bigger screen though. It's big enough as it is for a phone and does have one of the largest screens of them all at the moment. If you want a bigger screen get an iPad.
i have the 3GS my contract is up and im waiting on the new iphone but my battery is crap and lasts till lunch and my signal gets weaker and weaker so hurry up apple!!!!
Thats a bummer you had to fork out 80 quid to get logic working. Hope you dont have any more like that.
