Interior strip light

  1. Hello,

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement interior strip light cover to go as a direct swap for the one I have.

I have a 1978 Devon Moonraker and the light cover is the original yellowy coloured one.

Mine has cracked in after all these years and I would like an original looking one to go back in.

    Thanks,
    Richard

  3. Hello,

I had a look at labcraft but can not see the Moonraker light. I know mine is definitely Labcraft.

I just need the yellowy/biege cover.

I have trawled through the internet looking for a direct replacement but can not find anything.

I have sent labcraft an e' mail to see if they have any.

    Let's see what they say.

  4. An update to the light.

I sent a message to labcraft and they said that the only light they now do is the 13w Model DL14K which is the same fit.

It is the same apart from the diffuser/shade is white.

Seen it online for a tenner with delivery, so have ordered one.

A question, does anyone know the correct way to remove the existing strip light correctly from the roof lining?

I do not want to force it off or remove it wrongly, especially if there is a knack to doing it.

    Cheers.

  5. Take cover off, undo mounting screws?

Actually, if it's a Devon, it's probably nailed on.

  6. Think you're right about being nailed on. It'll still be there in a 100 years.

Does the cover just pull off then?

I can not move it and don't want it broken.

  7. Do the ends pull off if you undo the switch collar?

  8. Remove collar and the end pops off , there'll be screws holding it onto the van ..
    (Or nails ... )
