Which sink unit is that that you went for? Really taking shape your interior!

  3. It's a Spinflo 650 x 400 mm. I looked at a few but these dimensions were best for my van. I'm fitting a Campingaz double hob and grill on the right hand side.

  5. Looking tidy and nice and bright. Like the cab mats also - where are these from?

  6. What have you used to hold all the interior wood together, I can't see a baton or screw in site.

Looks really nice and I like the idea of putting the tiles on a diagonal

  7. Box up your rear speakers mate, will make a hell of a difference.

    Looking good though

All the flooring and mats are from Madmatz....they offered the best choice with a great service.

Just 1" corner braces.....they are surprisingly strong and sturdy. On edges that I know won't be seen, I have used wood screws as extra support....my wood working skills aren't up to making proper joints!

  9. Looking good dude

  10. If I were you I'd consider putting a board along the bottom to attach the upright to otherwise you'll probably find one knock or kick of an upright and it will break off...

  11. Looking good dude, I'm very interested in how you fit that cooker as I have one in the loft we used for camping and was hoping to re-use but have no idea how to even start to fit it into a unit of any kind!

What bits did you use for your 240v set up as this is also an item on my to do list, I'm hoping to get a few bits off my electrician but again not sure where to start...

Cheers & keep those pics flowing your doing a top job there...

    Robo...

  12. Madfrankie - that's a fair point regarding the uprights. I have got to make some structural pieces for the rear which will help, but will probably put a base on as well.

Robo - the job will effectively 'hang' in the spot as the desired height. The hanging will be done by suitably sized nuts and bolts, but this will obviously mean drilling through the side plates on the hob.
I was lucky with the 240v as I bought the van with it in, so it was just a simple matter of rewiring in to a new socket.

Thanks for all your comments and suggestions...never done it before so it is trial and error

  13. looking good for a "newbie" and getting a fair bit of interest. Will look at madmatz again - do yours cover the bit under the seat towards the walkthrough (ie the bit where the holes are where you stick all your bits and batssos for persisting with the questions butthis bit bugs me that its just painted. Carpeted mine as a temp job but its all coming off and if I do go for the "beachmat" look then it needs to match!

  14. Ignore me Im talking crap it quite obviously does what I want spose the question is are these standard or where they made up as specials!

  15. The sizes of the mats are all standard....I just specified to them it was a 1972 RHD and they make them up from their patterns. They have a good selection of different shades of mat. The yellow trim was not their usual style as they normally supply in black, but I think it goes quite well in my van and keeps the colour running through.

  16. good job - dash looks smart as well.

  17. do you work for Ryan Air? That dash reminds me of the worst ever flight i've been on, Liverpool to Sweden, sat with my face 6" away from a hideous sea of yellow seat back plastic. Nearly made me throw up.

You like it though, that's the important thing
    ;)

  18. Looking very nice.

What did you use for your panel insulation, and where did you get it from?

  19. That looking good.

  20. Micky Blue - The insulation is the foil covered wrap that I got from B&Q. Very easy to work with, quite cheap and good insulation properties. I think two rolls did it which did all the sides and the whole of the rear floor area.
