Inner rear valance

  1. Cutting the inner rear valance off as it was heavily pitted! Anyone done this before, any advice of getting the whole piece out from around the D pilled and chassis leg? [IMG]

  2. I've just replaced mine. Had to replace the lower D posts too, which made it easier but there's no option but to carefully drill out the spot welds from the chassis legs. I'd also removed the engine side panels too, which made things easier again. I've welded the new inner valance on but have yet to weld the outer valance in place... hopefully that's happening this weekend.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

  4. Looks good. I need to do this but how did you do it without removing and unstiching as described aboveleaving the paint untouched?

  5. You can`t ....
In the first few pics you`ll see the rear quarters have been removed .

  6. It takes a long time and very careful cutting!

  7. Ah ok so you don't have to remove all the other bits unless you need to anyway which in turn makes it easier but can be done if being careful. Got it.

  8. Are you looking at the other bus pics?

  9. Apologies - as you were ...
