  6. I need to put mine to stock height. I wont be raising or lowering it, I will jut be putting the arms in and the rear portion bar leaf springs back in.

Their kit looks proper. Never seen it in the flesh but they've been at it a few years.
The 2.5 raise spindles were out if stock last time I looked and about 1500 US. Like any of these mods there are cheap ways and not so cheap.
Samba has some good stuff written. Especially regarding the simplicity of turning splinage on the rear and a thread where someone welded adjusters to the beam.
Purpose made spindles seem the safest, but each to their own:thumbsup:

  9. yes in my opinion stock is the best. they will both come out soon for blasting. why do you need a kit when you just take out the arms and rotate the inner metal bars? on the back just rotate the leaf a few notches?

It's to avoid the carrier bottoming out and to retain the design suspension angles including but not limited to camber. The same philosophy as dropped spindles but at the rear.

  11. is this so people don't cut out the bump stops like what I have seen. mine are still intact.

Not at the rear, you'd be creating more clearance by raising. But the spring plate carrier also has stops that limit the suspension so any method that keeps the springplate in the designed position has that advantage. You are right it's nice to do this kind of thing in a nut and bolt way so that when you find you don't like it you can put it back how it was. One of the advantages of dropped spindles at the front.

  13. Yes I agree the cost of doing it right far outweigh quicker alternatives , it’s the import tax I’m dreading.
I have emailed wagenswest and awaiting reply.

I'm finding that with the stuff I order from California with the current exchange rate, the landed cost works out to roughly the same in Sterling as the advertised Dollar price.
So if it's $1500, expect to pay £1500 all in.
You'll need an EORI number, or know someone who has one, and make sure you ask the seller to put that on the import/export documentation.
It will be an absolute nightmare if it's expedited through UPS and this is missing from the invoice. Ask me how I know.....UPS are about the hardest company on the planet to get any sense out of when you need customer service!

OK, it was a long time ago, but the last time I bought USD in 1981 I got $4/£1. And people think this country is great!

Yup, when we bought Chip and drove him from San Diego to New Jersey in 2008 we got 2 to the pound. Couldn't afford to do it now!
    And stuffs getting more expensive.
The transmission components suppler I mentioned above has just put 5 speed 2nd gears up from about 70 bucks to over 300!
Add on carriage and import duty and it's cheaper to lease a new Tesla...

To be fair the 4/1 was black market exchange in Egypt. Everyone wanted USD back then and probably still do. :D
