Just been to the local Spar store in Dinas Powys. I bought a 4 pint bottle of skimmed milk, 80 Tetley decaf tea bags, a packet of chocolate Hobnobs, and a chunky KitKat. It cost me £7:99. Then to add insult to injury I had to pay a shilling for a plastic bag :headscratch2:
I obviously can remember them!! and remember when they bought in those horrific 5p pieces .. the size of a nail head..
ahhh, but can you remember 2 and a half pence? which was the old sixpence? or a florin? big blue fivers and brown tenners.....some on here will remember white notes but i'm not that old.
There's a pub in Brum called the Farthings. On the night it opened, not sure if it was just before or just after decimalisation, if you turned up with a farthing you got a pint 8)
Dont get me started on inflation! Couple of weeks ago i purchased some blue rizzlar's and was charged 39p!!! A month ago they cost between 25p & 30p! I then noticed that the green and red rizzlar's are priced at 29p! Trying to secretly tax the weed smokers which of course i would know nothing about
