  7. My village had a very poor turn out in support
To be honest I didn’t expect it to be good
Where I live everyone is only interested in them selves
I am glad I decided to move my family here though as life is normally isolated so it works in our favour for a change

I’m also glad That since the government has revised its at risk list I’m no longer on it
It s in my opinion a now we want you to die at home list

It’s not the first time you’ve used the words ‘clap’ and ‘ nhs worker’ in the same sentence, I’m betting...

My local nurse said to me "Thanks for giving me the clap!"

    She didn't look very pleased.

I know what you mean, I was listening to a prog on R4 last night about ICU in Bradford. The doctors were saying they had 16 Intensive Care beds, but projected to need upwards of 150 ICU beds, perhaps between 500 and 1000. You feel like they’re running flat out, just to catch up. It is nice to be appreciated at any time, no matter what job you do, but having the equipment and protective gear to do that job is the best way of valuing NHS staff. I hope other essential workers don’t feel unappreciated too. I know hospital staff (not just medics and nurses, the cleaners and nursing assistants etc) are all pretty much (excuse me for using an armed forces analogy but I think it does fit in this case) putting themselves in harms way on our behalf. Other workers are doing their bit too. Applause to ALL of them
