    You may jest, but folk do buy rather nice 1930s places in Sandbanks just for the land.

    They then knock them down and build awful sheet-glass things.

    Not at that level but a friend bought a bungalow for £250k 6 years ago and dropped it to build a big 3 storey house.
    Total cost £1m :eek:

    I'd have bought it... looks bloody lovely. And fair play, the bloke does actually live in the area already. Be interesting to see what he actually does build.
    .....I wonder if he'll need some trees for the garden...?
