Had mine since I joined TLB 2010 ish. I had a couple of poptop vans at the time. Not a great story but I notice some people have unusual usernames.

"Homage" to the film with Jim Carey and Jeff Daniels .... and a statement about my then level of VW knowledgeabilityness ... since before TLB, so "inherited" from Vzi/earlybay/etc

    Zed Gradually getting grumpier

I wasn't very good at going home (drunk) and often stayed on a friends "z" bed, his mother started calling me Zedbed. I used to be Zedbed on here but shortened it when I started my garage foray.

My nickname from back in the mid 90s. There was Lucky and Leroy bounding about, but Louey stuck.

Little Nellie - Dr No. so the microcopter from that was such a goofy mechanical machine. The bay’s a goofy mechanical machine, and Nellie is a name anyway, so there you go.

Spy code for goofy machine Little Nellie o_O

Mine was bestowed upon me at an obscure and ancient ceremony at a Gentlemen’s Club in Pall Mall. I forget the details, but suffice to say I am sworn to secrecy

When we travel in a bus, we have 7 monkey travelling companions. 20 years now.
In fact they had a ride out at the weekend down to see the grandson

The significance of the name is long gone, as I searched and found.

  13. Coda is a musical term, signified by a crossed circle. That is also what you see when looking down a sniper rifle's scope. Back in the 90's when I needed a 'handle' I was a musician, and a lot of my free time was spent playing first-person shooters (almost always as a sniper). I thought it was quite clever at the time

Well quite a long time really. I'd like to change it to the name of my bus if I could - Sterk Blatjang. It means Hot Chutney in Afrikaans. I used it as my alter ego when I saw a bottle of it in SA. (My wife is a saffo). It seemed fitting to give the name to the bus as he's a saffo too. So what do you think mods, can I change it? Pretty please.

Be careful to what you wish for...name changes sometimes go quite the opposite way to what you think.

After 50 years in the steel/metals industry, a significant part of the time supervising/managing in the melting shop I thought it was quite suitable.
