How did you name your van?

How did you decide if it's a girl or a boy van?

Did the name just come to you?

I've been trying to think of a name for my van but nothing seems right. It needs to stop being an it

 

Ours has always been a she... But it was Mike4 wife Becks, that told me her name... Our van is Dakota B-e-i-g-e, some call it Magnolia.. So Beck's said her name was Maggie...

 

mine is a champagne edition, bollinger is a make of champagne, in ashes to ashes gene hunt called alex "bollyknickers" cos she was posh totty, and keeley hawes is as fit as.....so i can now say i ride in bolly.....fnnar fnnar....

 

I put a post on here saying first person to post a van name is what I'm going to call it.

Mines banana yellow and when I was buying it that's what we described it as and it's kind of stuck in my head.

But it's not a name. Reckon it's a boy at least so that's a start!

I couldn't do the nedfaux route , spent too much time thinking about it!

 

Or do what I did and get smashed out of your face and pick a name . You'll wake up in the morning ...hey presto

Ricky's van has more names than an entire football team

 

I kind of like 'Bingo' after one of the banana splits but other half is less keen

 

When my sisters oldest lad was a toddler and learning to talk he could'nt say my name neale, he called me what sounded like beryl and if he saw my bus he said beryls bus, so I called her Beryl O0

 

We were new to the scene last May, found out they mostly have names and couldnt decide what to call our late Bay.

When we went to pick it up, a tall south african man told us quite firmly that her name was Alice, thats what she has been called from birth and it will not change, so Alice she remains !

I am a huge Jam fan, ie the group from the late 70's. We have changed the words from Town called Malice to a 'Van called Alice'.

The words being.......Stop apologising for the things you've never done, time is short, life moves forwards, its up to us to change, in a Van called Alice !'.........very apt for the difference in lifestyle the Camper has brought to us !
