How big is yours, and where do you stick it?

  1. Tables, minds out of the gutter you lot.
So we are having a single leg table. So the questions are really, "how close to the bed/seat does it need to be"
and "what size is good" I'm thinking to small and your plate will fall off and two big and you'll be trapped.

Pictures, opinions and experiences welcomed. Hoping to get maybe 2 sensible replies, fingers crossed.

I've got a table but if Im honest I never use it I tend to cook in the bus then sit on the sliding door opening with views of my lake, wonderful

  3. Hmm, we don't have a lake and Mrs paneuropaul likes to play cards, hence the table. But thanks for the sensible reply, I thought it would be 10 or 15 replies in before a sensible one came along, I'm shocked.

    Same as Barry
More stuff you don’t need getting in the way but we do have a tray we put on the buddy seat

I've made one in a sort of surfboard shape, just big enough for 2 plates...the big one rarely, if ever sees the light of day.

Can’t measure mine right now ( it’s raining and I’ve got me feet up with a beer) but it’s too big (note to self: cut bit off table) and when it’s in place there’s not much room for manoeuvre. It’s stored under the headbanger locker normally, with the leg under the back seat, ...but the large metal bit the leg inserts into is a serious hazard when in bed, so it lives behind the passenger seat when camping. Or more often, back in the garage at home :D

It slides on a rail and I do make use of that constantly. I cut it down after these photos because I couldn't get round it with the door shut. It's the same width as the fridge frame about 550mm because that's what I had. If you're going to have a table have a big one.

  8. I didn't want the usual table leg fitting that the pole slides in under the table as they are bulky
and make the table hard to store in a small gap so i bought a sequoia flush fitting leg and fitted
the bit for the floor to the table instead. table 006.JPG

    Table fits behind seat now

not sure what size but about 650 x 450

I have two. One is the cooker lid which is single leg and original for my Devon.

The other is my outside camping table which is a Decathlon special where they recreated Devon chipboard so everything falls off it. This has adjustable legs. I leave two folded up and made some brackets to clamp it to the wall using the Devon cooker top 'hooks' that are there. I pull the legs out to level it.

Its too big but it makes a great office/ work bench.

I usually sit one leg either side of the leg at the door end.

We have the same one as @just-paul but i put the bit that goes on the floor....... on the floor.
Just make the table a size that suits you & no need to cut a hole in floor also not much of a trip hazard [IMG][IMG]
