  1. Hi all,
thought I'd post some pics of my first attempt of rust removal by Electrolysis using an old painters bucket some copper wire, old angle iron cut into strips and buffed up for the sacrificial mild steel anodes,my old battery charger, water and Sodium Carbonate (laundry soda).

Left to 'cook' for approx 18 hours came out looking like this!

    A quick rinse and scrub-

Am now wondering whether I can get a really large bucket and drop the whole camper in!!! ;D

  2. How long was it in for??

  3. Great stuff!

Another thing to try is the old vinegar stunt: 10 litres of the cheapest you can buy, in a plastic bucket. Bits left over night can have the rust just scrubbed off them - really does work!

  6. I guess you disposed of the grot in an environmentally friendly and responsible manner? I can't be arsed with all that cleaning, powdercoat is the future
    :)

  7. I remember diddymen did a great how to, on this. But not sure if it was before or after the crash.
