Howdy folks, Brand new to the forum. I have a RHD 79 bay panel van in need of a lot of attention so you will be hearing a lot from me over the next year or so no doubt. I restored a 79 panel about 10 years ago but someone else did most of the work. This time, I feel brave (stupid??) enough to tackle a lot of it myself. I'm going to start cutting and welding very soon and I have a question about treating the welds as I go with a primer. It has been glass blasted and primer applied so I would like to maintain the protection as I go. Can anyone recommend a good spray or brush on product to protect the metal after I weld? If you prefer I can ask this in a completely different thread as this is the intro section? here is a photo of the bus after blasting.. thanks, Niall.
Hi Niall. Welcome to the forum mate. I would start a restoration thread in ' restorations' and ask questions in 'mech and tech' for better responses.
