If you find any you're interested in just post up links, nobody will race you to an apparent bargain because 99% of us already have at least one bus. Many of us have made mistakes and are keen that others are not so fooled. I've said it before but the people who do this rather than buy then show us what they bought, do end up with far better buses. Also there will always be someone who will volunteer to come and look with you given enough warning.

  3. It will be worth looking at either the Viking or Super Viking conversions if you have 2 kids and plan on keeping it as they grow into 2 BIG teenagers ;)
I have a Westfalia conversion and there's not enough space in a Westy for a family of 4 to camp comfortably.

The super Vikings are mahoosive in the roof...a family could easily live up there for 4 months and never bump into each other! Check out the threads below for more info. And GOOD LUCK :D

  5. let people on here know where abouts you live, it will give you 2 things. they will either invite you round for a brew and show you what to look for and offer to look at busses with you.
most have been in the same situation and would be more than happy to help you out.........

  6. Thanks! I'm in Cheshire. We have a budget of 8-9K and to be honest have been scared to go ahead with anything as don't want to get scammed... Hubby is now completely off the idea and wants to get a tent instead :( I am hoping a viking/super viking conversion bus will come up and it will be sooooo good he will ditch the tent idea...

  7. Do NOT be swayed..... It's a way of life!

Super Vikings are sought after at this time of the year I've noticed as they only ones that will accomodate a large family all sleeping in the bus. Then sometimes you can't move for tripping over them.

That's quite a low budget, particularly for a super Viking, are you prepared to do a little work yourselves ?

  18. I hope you find one that calls to you! Other than researching on here, which has already been mentioned, make sure the heat exchangers are connected ;) but that's only minor
