I remember having to travel in the back of a new one of these things in the eighty’s with buckets a discutter and wheelbarrow shovels etc when I was a Labourer for Marley roofing
And there it is in all its splendor … must be getting old

 

My Uncle worked for Marley, near Sevenoaks, back in the day.

 

You were lucky.
I remember in the early seventies aged 14 being a member of Bowaters Angling club being in the back of a Robin Reliant with my mate and 4 blokes fishing gear. Trip was about 150 miles return , last stop was in Ellesmere Port when the “ elders “ stopped at a pub and eventually brought us both a bag of crisps and pop….
