  1. That’s a stroke of absolute genius. I’m almost embarrassed that I never thought of that. Still it’s not midnight for another couple of hours. Still plenty of time. I’m off out now to scuff the alloy wheels, park across two or possibly three bays and then ask a complete stranger why I can’t get the diesel nozzle to fit in my petrol car.

In this world at the moment, there’s NEVER a day when you can do without jokes and banter…

  4. Spot on. Some of the throwaway sexism on this forum is kinda wild  I know I'll be told I can't take a joke for saying this too :(

Anyone have any ways to suggest to keep gender equality at the forefront of things? :)

I love what the organisation Saffron records are doing in Bristol for people in the music! industry https://saffronmusic.co.uk/

paige-spiranac.png Happy International women's day .I would just like to include this picture of a young lady called Paige -Spiranac who has inspired me to consider taking up Golf as a hobby .What wonderful work women like this do and all men should be forever grateful .Might I suggest as a mark of respect we should all add her as our new screen saver . paige-spiranac.png

  9. Yes we should applaud her achievements in promoting golf as a hobby for other women. Do you have any more pictures of her? Id like to study her swing.

I have carried out some brief research (4 days with zero sleep ) and have downloaded a 'few' pictures which I am happy to forward. Not many likes so far !? No one brave enough for fear of getting caught .

  13. For the men on the forum who want to understand why we even need to have an international women's day in the first place, I'd really reccomend the book 'The Will to Change' by bell hooks, or if watching something is more your bag, then The Mask You Live In by Jennifer Siebel Newsome. Beautiful, powerful, gut wrenching stuff.

Seriously, what century are we in?!

It dismays me that some of the posters on here think their comments are vaguely amusing.

Also, Mayfair, Playboy and Razzle give an insight to the beautiful forms of women worldwide, who have made a wonderful contribution into some men’s AND some women’s ( equal rights etc) literary entertainment.
Wrote this, as god forbid, I don’t want to appear sexist, just ‘modern’, and in THIS century.
Footnote. It’s everybody’s given right to be offended, wether they want to be or not, is their decision. Personally, I never get offended over anything becuase I simply don’t care, as it’s also my right not to, if I don’t want to.
    Peace out.

Your sensitivity or opinion on some of the posters may cause them dismay . Do not forget someone's humour may be generational and what is funny to them is completely alien to maybe your world .Come twenty years time your comments may be completely frowned upon . End of the day some may chuckle some may agree or someone may be offended .I have added a picture of a childhood favourite of mine .His name is Zippy and his opinion and views were sadly restricted by other .He may have gone on to great things but was often stifled by others zipping him up when in full flow. $_1.jpeg

I don’t think it’s about being offended Soggzster. I can’t see anywhere where someone has used the term “offensive “ except the ones trotting out some tired old jokes. Merlin posts a thread about International Women’s Day, so should we, as fellas, just get on board with that 100% or should we make it about us and our right to offend. Kind of misses the point imho.

It is a bit disheartening to read some people’s responses to be honest.
