Little bits here and there happening on Gusbus these past weeks: Wiring loom completed and all working Accelerator, Clutch and Heat Exchanger Cables all fitted and working Bulkhead covers fitted Drivers seat fitted Next week we are bleeding the brakes and preparing to fit the engine ;D
Bulkhead covers came fitted to Deluxe models, these are from a guy whose garage caught fire gutting his bus, he sold a load of bits oss. Have a search on ebay or the various forums, they do come up for sale now and again. Or try FBI VW or the other breakers, they may have some
Thanks Mark OSI is a deluxe van converted to a camper & those bits have taken a beating over the intervening 38 years. Back to EvilBay, The Samba etc I go ^-^

thats looking tidy love the bulkhead covers .......I want Mrs Diddymen wants something similar ........I dont really want to hide them after all the welding and making it look original ;D ;D when do you think you'll put the engine back in?
Hi Dale, We are bleeding the brakes next week so it should be going in a week on monday - fingers crossed; we just have to get all of the bits out of storage!
For the first time in 3 years we have a fully set up and working braking system - front brakes, rear brakes and handbrake..major milestone for us! The only thing we do now know is if the servo works; its been refurbished and checked to see if the diaphram works but thats as far as we can go. Next...engine in time, I'm getting all the bits together now ;D
yes its sat on the input shaft splines hanging from the engine mounting bar, supported by jacks! we ran out of time last night to secure properly ;D
