full width bed t2

  1. hi there, anyone have any pics or advice regarding fitting a full width rock n roll bed into my t2 bay camper. Keen to know what else you can fit into the van if opting for full width rather than 3/4 size. Any pics of current ones would be great or even an explanation of possibilities around cooker / storage etc without dominating all the space in the van.

  2. Hi,I went for a full width but still working on cooker & storage options!

Here's some pics of the bed bought from Rusty Lee from this forum!

Easy to fit as it bolts into the seat belt anchor points on the rear arches, made my own cushions from some scrounged foam seats out of an old caravan & covered with ikea material!

    Hope this helps!

In the early hours of Sunday morning @ Stanford Hall there was me, the wife, 7yr old daughter & our 2.5yr old lad all snuggled up on this, so I give it 10/10 for strength, 10/10 for comfort, 10/10 for ease of installation, what more can I say...

  4. Hi mate, In mine i got a full width r&r bed, and buddy seat, inside the buddy I have put the 2hob smev which flips out and folds away when not needed the buddy also folds out to make a L-shape bench seat. On the other side i have a fold up table, I was the same and wanted as much room as possible but versitile, works for me, haven't got a sink though

My new seats drop right down and I put tinware around the hob, but only use it for tea or coffee or soup, all cooking gets done in the awning.

But like this it gives me alot of room in the bus

  15. Wow really like that Mrs Majorhangover!

Where did you get the interior? Looks very practical with the sink, cooker and fridge and full width but managed to keep the walk through! Very impressive.

    Let me know.

  16. Thats lovely Mrs major ,dont remeber seeing it like that at camperjam?

  17. I've not got any pictures as it is still to be built but we have the full width bed and will plan have a cupboard going along the side behind the drivers seat which will house the gas and hob similar to this:

    http://www.vanwurks.co.uk/koppelo-interior-for-volkswagen-t2-bay-window-from-425.00.html

However we will have a hob on the top left and the top right will also have a lift up lid but will house utensils, cutlery and condiments with the 2 cupboards underneath. This will store cooking pots, plates, cups, gas etc. We aren't having a fridge.

Behind the passenger seat by the sliding door we will have a buddy seat woth a portaloo, however because we have a small loo (no no. 2's allowed thank you) I am hoping to have a drawer underneath to store things like loo roll, dustpan and brush etc.

Plus storage under the rock and roll bed for tools, spare parts, chocks etc.

Along with an overhead locker for clothes whch will also hold the table top and pole when not in use.
