nice to see some progress Clive, its coming along now!

  2. Thanks! its slow going but at least its getting done right! Look at how the panel is fully welded, very talented welder and he takes no shortcuts.

  3. So finally all the welding is done! And if feels strange that I now have a 100% rustfree camper... It gets trailered to the sprayer tomorrow to get its original green/white paint combo applied.
But before any colour is done we need to sand sand sand.....

All welding done so now it’s at the painters getting prepped before he sprays it.

A few posts up, in January 2019 you said "All welding done, off to the painters tomorrow".
Then today you said all welding done it's at the paint shop being prepped.
15 months disappeared on the way to the paint shop? What happened!!??? Did you hit a hole in space time?

How are things looking with the virus situation there?

  10. I’m currently on a ship on my way to the US and should hopefully heading home at the end of the month.
Sweden has not been in lockdown and the cases are decreasing in my county.
    Strange times...

  14. So started stripping down the bench seat to replace the foam, it’s all powdery and falling to bits.

  15. Started stripping off the plastic liners on the trims and under the pop up bed.
A coat of paint and then they will be covered in white carpeting, the stuff they use to cover bass speaker boxes.

    Hi Clive,

Whose seat covers are you using, if you don't mind me asking? I was planning on using NLA VW but have heard the colours fade quickly, which is a bit disappointing so Im looking for other suppliers.

    Thx!

  17. I’m looking at custom and commercial but still not sure...
We will sew them to fit with slightly larger height foam, at the moment it’s 75mm but will go up to 100mm.
Wife says they need to be more comfy.

Comfy is the same approach we will take!

VW Heritage do the covers too, I'll do some asking round and see what feedback I get.

  19. Covering some interior trim as the stock plastic had warped and was bubbling.
Wooden pieces painted first then used spray glue and covered them in the fabric.
