  1. I have my French Slammer kit for sale. It's been fitted to my LHD 1973 Late bay for 18 months and has covered 5000 miles. It is an amazing bit of kit and drives superbly.
    The details are as follows.

    - French Slammer 11cm narrowed LHD beam with servo bracket and adjustable ride height.
    - 2.5 inch JP Late Bay dropped spindles
    - Front and Rear KYB Gas Adjust Dampers (firm dampers but not adjustable, that's just the name).
    - Adjustable rear spring plates
    - 4 White Powdercoated wheels with usable tyres. (I'll pop a picture up when I get home from work)
    - Front tyres 155/66R14 (4mm tread)
    - Rear tyres 195/70R14 (2.5mm tread)

The beam comes with the track rods and steering damper. This is the complete lowering set up for a LHD Late bay.

The kit is located in Derby (DE24) and is ready for collection.

    I would like £1700

If you have any questions please ask.

This is the ride height I had the bus at without front arch modifications but I have rear chassis notches. The height is adjustable to suit your desired look.

Why don’t you want it anymore if it’s so great?

  3. Good question and I hope you're a potential buyer.

We are travelling to the Alps as soon as the world opens up again. Our lowered bus would not be able to drive on the mountain roads that we plan to drive along in Slovenia and Austria.

Our bus is now standard height with mud terrain tyres.

  6. Thank you, I think I'm still swinging towards the looks of a lowered bus but the idea of wild camping in the alps or even up some green lanes in Scotland is something that NEEDS to be done. :)

  7. P.S. Not sure this comment will help my sale

Stock height is the way forward ...looks way better . There still will be plenty buyers for it ...for some reason they love the sound of rustling long grass and scraping stones and saying ...LOOK OUT pot holes and sleeping policemen and wasn't those yellow roads in Cornwall a Illegitimate child .

  11. Hi did you use different shocks to get that height?

  12. I would go with a French tickler myself.

  13. Hi, The front shocks are the same length for both the lowered bus and standard height bus but the rear ones had to be changed to standard length ones instead of the shorter ones I was running when lowered.

    Hope this helps?

  17. I wasn't planning on splitting but I'll have a think and drop you a message later on today. I've seen your DM

  18. OK, not much interest at that price then.
If anyone wants the full set up I'll take
    £1500.00

If I don't get much interest at that price I'll start to think about splitting it all up.

    Cheers.
