It's Renault that terminated the supply contract not RBR.

 

Christian Horner has been slagging off the Renault engine for most of the year

 

And since they're now supplying McLaren that made RBR surplus to requirements.

The pits really were the pits in those days.

 

They were hi-tech at the time, most circuits didn't even have that.

 

I lived near Aintree as a kid - Ferrari used the local garage as their workshop and one year they drove the cars to the circuit on the road (about a mile or so) during the early morning!

 

I went to my first Gran Prix at Aintree in 1955.

.. could be? I've watched the crash footage a couple of times and i can't fathom how two professional drivers could have had such a bizarre accident, but maybe it wasn't actually accidental?!

Possibly, I was in my pram in the pits with Ecurie Ecosse and the lads from The Border Reivers.

Interesting, I really think Vettel and Ferrari have some serious questions to answer about this crash.

One report suggests that Vettel was low on fuel and might have incurred a penalty when checked - so a crash avoided the check.

 

Yup. If he was found to have less than a ltr in fuel then he would have been disqualified.
