What are you doing, reading this?
You sure you haven't left the gas on, or left your garage unlocked?

OCD is a mental illness which has only recently been understood .
It has different forms of it variant's of it, as long as your arm .

Most people think it's just a silly disorder not to be taken seriously and is looked on with slight amusement .
It's usually the common three, switching things off tins and shoes lined up and so on ....if only it was as simple as that .
It can be a life changing disorder with some of the worse cases ...even suicide .

The condition is usually in the individual at an early age but is not fully detected until mid to poss late teens .
The good news however, is now that it is a recognised and understood illness it can be treated .
Please don't think i am rubbing your nose in it Soggz ..i am not .
I myself do not suffer with it but i do have colleague who does.

Soggz's sorry if i came over heavy handed in my f this and f that reply .
Firstly the so called colleague does not exist ...it is both my children that suffer with it one worse than the other .
You rightly said everyone has it to a light degree which is normal .

But unfortunately OCD can go way deeper than the comical side to it ...if you look into it in detail you will see what i mean .

If you ever meet me you will find i have a good sense of humour and i am not really over concerned about joking about it .

The main put in my earlier reply was really just to point out the reality of the serious side of OCD .
Sorry if it came across wrong cheers Ewan .

Thank god for that! Your first reply, sounded like you were the sort to go on a rampage, and smash a statue down, before standing back, and having a little think, first! Lol!

I have it too.....it’s hours of fun on the times you can’t control it.

I find people have it to varying degrees (I don’t know if everyone has it) and it can come and go in severity in an individual on a moment by moment basis - what the obsessions are can vary widely and often look and sound utterly absurd to anyone looking on, hence the incessant jokes and fobbing off as harmless banter.

For many people it’s an unrelenting hell, I’ve watched someone mop the same piece of floor 4 times before they leave the house, every time they leave the house, for years. It’s not funny after the first few times, it’s tragic.

Mine is nowhere near that severe thankfully.

I totally support and endorse the notion that anything can be a source of humour as long as those that give it can also take it, which invariably they can’t if you press the right button.

Narcissists are my favourite, they have the empathy of a crocodile and mock mental health conditions with aplomb, utterly ignorant of their own well researched and documented mental health issues.

I can be laying in my bivvy and at 3 o'clock in the morning I've been know to get up and adjust one of my reels because they don't line up exactly, something so small and trivial can keep me awake, stupid really:(
