feeding the dog

if you give the dog haribo tangfastics it is funny to see her face, that is all.

 

When we were little we used to give our dog the hard toffee's out of the quality street, just to see her panic when it stuck to her teeth and she started rubbing her face along the carpet with her bum in the air.

 

grapes for our springer she picks it up in her mouth and she spend ages decided to bite it or not

 

a while ago we used to feed barney this dry food that had green bits in it and he would eat the lot apart from theses green bits which he would always leave in his bowl and now if i give him any left overs he always leaves the peas he just wont eat his greens

 

Max was on tablets for a few months a while back and he got very good at eating his whole meal and then spitting back out the tablet and leaving it in his bowl with a very satisfied grin.

We had to get very creative in ways to give it to him in the end, he even got wise to us wrapping it in has favourite treat. In the end we felt like drug pushers crushing it up into powder and sprinkling it in his bowl as he ate!

 

it cost me a fortune in ham slices when mill was on tablets, the only way she would eat them was wrapped in a slice of ham, i tried crushing them but sometimes she wouldn't eat the food.

 

I`ve done the ham wrapped round the tablet... ;D cat pills are worst...

 

Cheesie tablets are the way forward, cheap cheddar has a plastic like quality that only dogs can fully appreciate!

Puca's daily tablet is huuuge and we play the 'I know that you know what's inside the cheese but we pretend it's not there' game before we go to bed, very rarely spits it out, but if the cheese to tablet ratio isn't right (too much, too little) she'll let us know!

 

Tangtastics - brilliant hadn't thought of that, am off to buy a packet and see what happens.

Diggy's tablets go into cake, Womble's into cheese. If they don't fall for that then I get mean and shove it in the back of their throat and hold their mouth closed til they have no option but to swallow it >

 

the tangfastics was just funny because millie will sit there shuffling around into eyeline if she spies you eating something that has a "crunchy" sounding packet.....the face was a picture when i let her have one, although being a labrador, eventually she eat it!

 

my border terrier likes cheese so much she would eat a hand grande in a bit of cheese. Pills no problem.
