Ok, I've never done it from that side.

  3. A round of Scafell and Scafell Pike is about 14 miles long from Eskdale.
The route I was intending to do is about 9 miles. I've never done this ridge whereas I've been up Scafell Pike a load of times (but never up Scafell). It'll be a bit easier on the dog too.
I've got a spare map or two and mapping programme on my desk top. If you want a route printing off and mileage let me know and i'll bring them up with me.

  13. After a huge effort Oscar just isn't going to be ready in time for this weekend. Kind of gutted that I have missed the target that I set myself last year. I am fairly confident that I will be able to get it done to get away somewhere at Easter so I am only a couple of weeks short... Hope everyone has a great time and it becomes an annual event that I WILL be ready for in 2015.

  14. im planning gentle walk to the pub, lunch and a few beers.......

  15. I'm in

  16. Anyone planning on having a BBQ?
I just found a small bag of charcoal brickettes in the shed from last year. Not sure if they'll lite OK without being used with some other charcoal and i can't find any more to buy locally. :(
