I changed from the awful Empi linkage to the CSP bell crank. It is a brilliant bit if kit. Along with a butty's bits pedal linkage it is a great set up. I do know that the CB kit is lots better than the empi one. My Empi kit used to go out of sync as the engine warmed up. The ball ends were also too loose.
well i think i will at least try the CB kit, i am no linkage connoisseur, and hopefully i wont be taking them out any time soon so it wont be an issue.
I didn't recommend the centre mount one because it can be a fiddle to fit and initially adjust. I wasn't happy until I'd made bracketry (second atempt) to mount it the opposite way round to intended. I guessed you wouldn't have the patience and the linkage you bought is a good one, streets ahead of the empi effort that fits directly to the carbs with teeny short screws that strip their threads.
We have it, its okay - once set up correctly it works with no issues. The fiddly part is when you want to take a carb off and swap jets
I strongly suspect that my ICT's have the same. I have absolutely no idea how to check or what i'm looking at though - are there any links / books/ youtube that anyone can suggest that would show me how i check or fit these?
Just look up weber 34 ict diagram and there will be an exploded view with labels sand a table showing which bits are which
If the bolt centres are same top and bottom of manifold easy job.. pair from one.. Made from the right stuff anyway.. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
If it helps.. 36mm hole, two fixing holes 9mm dia at 46mm centre to centre. Overall width 46mm at narrowest. .8mm thick including paper gasket bit.. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
Ok so I have these for the manifold threaded inlets. I am thinking the smaller dia ones are for balance pipe, then the large one is used for servo vac and will go to one carb only (lhs probably) due to balance pipe? Then blanking plug in rhs carb. Any advice or am I correct? @zedders
well i did it anyway, nobody knows, or maybe the silence is because i am correct. Just ordered some gates barricade fuel hose. Was going to do nylon with olive fittings but i just cant be arsed to be honest. See how the gates goes for now, it seems to be talk of the town. Just waiting for that to arrive then the engine will be going in. Not sure whether to put new jets in or not, i have Main - 145 Air Correct - 160 Idle - 55 Emulsion F6 will this cause me a problem if heading to Oxford on the 2nd Sept for a long wknd. Who knows.
Sorry I missed that, I'd have used 2 big ones and T off the balance pipe for servo. On mine I used the original steel balance/servo pipe.
Will it still work if it only has the servo linked to one side, because it has a balance pipe anyway? What i mean is, does the servo pipe need to go to both manifolds, when there is a balance pipe connecting both manifolds? its hard to word so i will see if you get my drift first! lol.
