Non smokers, don't feel left out with the new electronic cigarette faze the smokers are going through, simply take an old Bic pen, remove the middle and fill it with flour,,,, fags at a fraction of the cost...

For the first time ever I'm considering trying to go over to electronic cigarettes. A friend has ones that you plug into a laptop to charge it up (not sure why), and you can get strawberry flavoured ones so I'm pretty tempted. No more having to go outside for a smoke when you're in a club . Apparently they're pretty life like, with 'smoke', so I'm sure I'll soon get tired of getting told off by bouncers and still go outside to smoke it anyway .

my sis gave me a go of one ,hells bells ,did I ever cough my lungs up ,apparently ,if a person signs up for a stop smoking course via pharmacist they get kit for zilch cash outlay(but please do not quote me on that !)

Some people have been advised not to use them so please check with yur GP first, one of my volunteers started using one , and she worked on reception , it really made me jump when I first walked in plus looked really bad ( of course us lot hanging around the sides of the building with roll ups hanging out of our chops do not look much better). I personally enjoy smoking , although I do not smoke at home just at work or when out for the night, Row's oddness continues. I know how bad and disgusting it is but to be honest the amount of cack I breath in travelling around to the big ' smokes' and the chemical factory in Norwich , car fumes and so forth ..........see what I am doing here giving myself excuses for my behaviour .............works another charm seeming I also deliver workshops on CBT threapies and Prochaska and DiClemente's stages of change, practice what you preach .............errr I'll get me coat

 

Not all electronic cigs are the same. If you are a smoker and have tried one and didn't like it there are lots variables involved, not least how you puff it, short/long slow/quick and if you warm it up a bit before you inhale.
They do take a bit of fiddling to get them how you like them, and theres lots of flavours too, not just alternative flavours like fruits (which I dont like) but lots of tobacco based flavours. There are also two bases which produce vapour - propolyne glycol or vegetable glycerine, and these can be mixed in different ratios too. One you get past the prefilled cartridge stage you can buy bottled liquids, theres hundreds of options and its cheaper.
I am just putting this out there as I've met a few long term smokers who have tried them and gone back to fags. Whatever the risks are are with e-cigs I am fairly sure that real fags are worse for your health, more antisocial, and much more expensive too.

if you actually read the detailed health advice on smoking rather than just nodding and agreeing with the blunt intrument that is "all smoking kills you just as quickly and jsut the same" you'd be smoking rollies with filters and not worrying too much and steering well away from packet cigarettes

 

They are not a stop smoking aid get an inhalater instead.

 

Just a way of getting you to spend loads of cash weekly on something other than the real thing or rusty Vans!

You have to really watch the government "information" B/S though... that new advert on the telly that tells you that once you've smoked a cigarette you undergo genetic mutation... yes you do... in reality your body undergoes a number of mutations every day of your life... if you under eat for 7 days (given that diets last a lot longer) your body undergoes nearly 300 genetic mutations... strangely they don't try and scare you into not dieting with the same use of statistics.

they also try and avoid mentioning that one of the best known expectorants for clearing the lungs is herbal cannabis, just do what your government says, and agree unquestioningly because they know best

 

you make that wet hand rolling baccy like Golden Virginia or Amber leaf? that stuff is so full of petrol you could run a car on it just like the packet fags, between that and the bleach in the paper those brands are nearly as cancer forming as diet soft drinks
