EDDY - TECHENDERS - BIRTHDAY BASH. IMPORTANT DATE INFO ON 1ST POST

JACKIE JUST INFORMED ME THE MAIN PARTY IS NOW THE FRIDAY NIGHT 12TH AUGUST - THERE WILL BE A SMALL DO IN THE BAR ON THE SATURDAY BUT IF YOU'RE COMING FOR THE MAIN EVENT TURN UP ON FRIDAY!






Those who know Eddy from Techenders are welcome to come to his birthday bash in August this year, I'm nothing to do with organising this so it's not like a Techenders but it's a possibility for a forum meet in the summer like we did last year in between Techenders.

After April 2016's T/e I enquired about a summer meet as a few had asked me, Eddy/Jackie said why not come to the party instead? I wasn't sure if it was a general invite or select few but I've just had it confirmed that Eddy says "the more the merrier"

So, what I can tell you is this, It's AUGUST 12/14 weekend at Victoria Farm
There's a band and a bar extension.
There's lots of his other friends from the splitty club and all of Ed's other interests going so we will be very much fending for ourselves, there's not much chance you'll get hook up, there deffo won't be breakfasts or a food run and we won't be bugging him for anything.....
I've no idea on the camping prices on a "normal" weekend (we get discounts at t/e) but it isn't an expensive place anyway.

I'll let him know out of courtesy if many of you want to go as a rough guide but there's loads of space anyway so it shouldn't be critical.

As i say it is nothing to do with me but Edd is obviously a nice guy so i wouldn't want a load of people "unknown" to him just turning up so if you fancy it and have been to t/e and met Edd that's probably the remit for an invite.

The next t/e is not long after in September if you want the usual spannering/meet fix.

 

He asked us as we were last leaving, should be good, is it just the one night for the party I assume ?

 

The dates given were 12/14 i PRESUME the party will be Sat 13, i'll only go for Sat night.

I'd like to go but don't know if handing over a few quid to him over the bar constitutes 'knowing him' I doubt it??

'course it does. I lile to think it's Techenders that tipped the balance in favour of vw's for Ed. He already had the Splitty lot agm I think, but us lot helping each other did it.

 

We can't go for def. We'll be in France. Sounds like a good un too.

 

I should be able to go, might even bring the wife and kids, although maybe not!!

 

And I've put it in the calendar so that makes it official, will say it's always been in there!!

 

I must admit that I was thinking along the same lines as @Dazza , but we'll be back in Keswick so can't make it anyway

Eddy used to have an end of season bash for around 6 years
it was basically an open invite to the people who had been there to the years events,
he stopped them a few years ago,


As its his 65th this august
he is having another end of season bash,
the techenders crowd [tlb] will be more than welcome,

there will be a lot of the ssvc, and a few others that use Edds campsite over the year,
its always a good do with a good band and everyone is well behaved ,
get yourselves along and have a ball..

 

Count me in then

 

Might have to drag the trouble and strife out for this one.
