Eastnor Castle 29-21 July

I know that this clashes with Camping in the Cotswolds but is anyone going to Eastnor this year & is there a club group going?

That's the plan, presuming they have the racing again. It's volksworld show this weekend so I expect once the magazine people have got over that, we'll hear some more

 

We are away the week before and this would work out well for us. Do you know if there is a club area as we did before or have you booked general camping?

 

PS Ginny & I are 1st dibs for Pit Crew if you aren't covered yet!

I think it was a guy called John, but I can't remember his username.

The camping side of it was a bit chaotic last year, the show was a lot busier and noone really knew where we were supposed to camp, so we got spread out a bit.

Some of my local friends who'd helped with the log build came with me so I camped with them. Didn't find most of the latebay gang until the next day.

 

I think it was @johnw1666 who organised our line up last year. Though we again had a good time, this year I think we are doing the Camping in the Cotswolds instead. The problem last year at Eastnor was the camping arrangements, or rather lack of! Everybody was just lumped in together and it was only by luck that we stumbled across the likes of barneyrubble, Chrisgooner, the major hangovers and zed. A few others eventually congregated with us and we all had a great time again but I think the first one was such a perfect weekend it was always asking a lot for lightning to strike twice.

 

Jeez, does this mean i have to find a new head crayfisher

 

I think we would be up for it again. Will have to check dates and also if we are going to get freebies again

Hi Guys I've emailed the contact I had for tickets last year so a waiting a message back. I'm hoping for free tickets again as we have supported the show from the start. It was all over the place last year as they didn't seem to know there left from there right. If I can get tickets again this year I will ask for a section to be marked off so we can all meet/camp in one area. The phone signal for me was hopeless which maded life harder. Also the line up was not really a line up as again there was poor organisation on that aswel. If we can camper together like the first year we can hopefully do a proper lineup this year? As soon as I know anymore I can let you all know. If anyone else has anything they feel could be better organised this year please let me know and hopefully it can be addressed before the show. As I said I will let you know when I've heard something. Thanks John

 

I am having a bit of a revolt from my girls over 'going to sit in a field with no WIFI, nothing to do & a bunch of old drunk farts'!
